Farm Day FAQs
WHAT IS FARM DAY?
Farm Day is your chance to peek inside over 10 participating Santa Maria Valley farms to learn about agriculture first-hand. Do you want to know what really happens on farms? Come, find out!
Attendees pick the locations they want to visit and drive themselves to the farms (self-guided). Each farm has fun-filled, educational activities for the entire family to enjoy.
DO WE DRIVE TO EACH FARM?
Yes, you pick and plan your day!
HOW MANY FARMS CAN WE EXPECT TO VISIT ON FARM DAY?
It will depend on which farms you select and where they are located. To enjoy everything each farm has to offer, you are encouraged limit your itinerary to two, possibly three, farms on Farm Day. Please note that some farms require advance reservations.
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR FOR FARM DAY?
Dress according to the weather. You’ll be outside for most of the day, so make sure you wear hats and sunscreen to protect yourself from the sun. Wear closed-toe shoes since you’ll be walking on farmland!

WHAT CAN WE EXPECT TO SEE AT EACH FARM?
Every farm is different, but the farms will feature a number of family-friendly activities such as free produce, tours, agricultural book signings and food & beverage samplings.
